There are 39 nuraghes in the area of Padria with a density of 0.9 monuments per sq km. They are often built near streams and most of all on the edges of the tablelands, dominating the wide valleys, in strategic positions and with a large radius of vision.
The only witnessed type seems to be the tholos one.
The nuraghes prevalently have single-tower plants, in some cases they are complex with lateral towers and additions. The most complex plant is found in the Longu nuraghe. Remains of huts that can be traced back to widely extended villages are in several cases visible around the nuraghes.
